Atmosphere
During the Gipmans Plants Kwaakerrun weekend, various atmospheric points are set up. Jam bands, choirs, drum bands and all other music groups that increase the atmosphere are spread over these locations. You can find more information on our atmosphere page.
Award ceremony
The prize-giving ceremony for the 500 m, 1 km and 2.5 km starts at 11.30 am. The prize-giving ceremony for the 5 km begins at 12.45 pm and the prize-giving ceremony for the 10 km begins at 14.15 pm. The winners will be announced and asked to come to the podium.
B
Bananas
Immediately after the finish line, everyone gets a banana and a bottle of water. Bananas are known as a nutritious, healthy and easily digestible fruit. Moreover, they provide a lot of energy and improve stamina.
C
Chip
A chip has been placed in your race number which will register your time. This allows you to see what your net time is, among other things. The time can also be found on our website.
D
Deregistration/Cancellation
If the participant is unable to take part in the event, the entry fee paid will be refunded minus an administration fee of € 5 for cancellations received by us at least two weeks before the event. For cancellations less than two weeks before the event, the entry fee paid will not be refunded. This is also in accordance with our terms and conditions. It may therefore be better to find someone yourself who is willing to take over your starter pack.
Drinking stations
There is one officiel drinking station. Water will also be available after the finish.

Information point
The information point is located on the Pastoor Kierkelsplein near the Bantuin in 't Ven. On Saturday, the information point is staffed from 9:00 to 15:30 and on Sunday from 9:30 to 14:30.

Kilometres points
The kilometres points will be shown with signs at the side of the course.

Lost and found
All found objects that come to us are collected at the info point on the Pastoor Kierkelsplein in front of the Bantuin. After the event, you can contact municipality Venlo for found objects.

Mailing race numbers
You can also get your race number mailed to your home. Please state this during registration. The race numbers are delivered to everyone's home address in the two weeks prior to the event.
Medical
A number of preventive measures will be shared by a doctor form the VieCuri medical team in a separate letter. These measures are among other things focussed on weather conditions, fluid and food intake, injuries, illness and other medical emergencies.
Memories
Everyone who makes the finish line within the time restrictions will be receive a beautifully designed medal.
Minimum ages
10 kilometres: 16 years.
5 kilometres: 16 years.
Missing children
There will be a point at the Bantuin where missing children can be kept safe and be collected by their parents.

Parking
On Saturday it is not possible to park your car on the parking lot near the Bantuin. You can park in the parking spaces and the streets of 't Ven.
On Sunday even a part of 't Ven is closed off from traffic. It is then convenient to park the car outside this area, for example at Trefcenter and walk the last part.
Photos
Various photographers will be taking photos of the participants along the way and at the finish. A few days after the Gipmans Planten Kwaakerrun, these photos will be available on our website.

Running shirt
The Kwaakerrun shirt is for sale via the registration module, at the Venloop office, in our webshop or during the Gipmans Plants Kwaakerrun weekend at the information point on the Pastoor Kierkelsplein in front of the Bantuin.
Registration
Registration for the Gipmans Plants Kwaakerrun 2023 is open from 1 April 2023 at 12:00pm.
Registration office
In the week prior to the event, the start numbers can be collected at the Venloop office at Koninginnesingel 14 in Venlo. The office is open Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.
Results
The results will be on our website and on www.uitslagen.nl as soon as possible after the end of the race.

Sanitary facilities
Sanitary facilities are located near the start location. Please check the running route or the walking route for the exact location.
Start
The start of the running races is located near Cafe Feestzaal 't Ven on Straelseweg 359, 5916 AB Venlo.

T
Time limits
The time limit is 90 minutes for the 10 kilometres.
Time registration
Just as last year, the chip will be at the back of your race number this year.
Transferring race numbers
Those who want to transfer a starting number must arrange this themselves. We do ask you to email the details of both buyer and seller to kwaakerrun@venloop.nl. We can then change the data, so that the starting number and the results will be in the name of the right person. For the transfer we charge € 3,- by means of a one-time automatic collection. After completion of the transfer procedure, you will receive an email confirming the transfer.
W
Weather
In the event of extreme weather conditions the organisation maintains the right to cancel the event. Furthermore, we ask all participants to monitor the weather on the race day and to adjust clothing, food and drinks accordingly. The organisation will always do its upmost to adjust to the weather conditions.
Web store
You can purchase various Kwaakerrun merchandise from our web store such as T-shirts and flags. You can get the products mailed to yourself or collect them at our office. Payment can be made via iDEAL or in cash at the Venloop office.

Youth Runs
We have three different youth runs during the Gipmans Planten Kwaakerrun, namely the 500 m run (4-6 years), the 1 km run (7-9 years) and the 1 km run (9-11 years). Participants aged 12 and over can run the 2.5 km. For children up to 6 years of age a parent is allowed to run with them. This is not allowed for children of 7 years and older.
